Privacy Policy

We keep things simple and honest. Here's exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

1. Who We Are

The Brick Buyer is a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We buy second-hand LEGO from people across the UK. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please email us at [email protected].

2. What We Collect and Why

When you fill in our enquiry form, we collect:

  • - Your name - so we know who we're talking to
  • - Your email address - so we can respond to your enquiry
  • - Your phone number - so we can contact you if needed

We don't collect any personal data just from you browsing the site. No accounts, no tracking cookies, no hidden data collection.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you give us to:

  • - Respond to your LEGO selling enquiry and process any transaction
  • - Send you occasional updates or offers from The Brick Buyer - you can opt out of these any time by emailing [email protected]

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We don't sell your data. We only share it with the following service providers who help us run this site:

Cloudflare

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes form submissions via Cloudflare Workers. Your data may pass through Cloudflare's infrastructure as part of normal site operation. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Fathom Analytics

We use Fathom Analytics to understand how people use our site. Fathom is cookieless and collects no personal data - it's fully GDPR-compliant. Your visit remains completely private. More at usefathom.com/privacy.

No other third parties have access to your data.

5. Cookies

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Fathom Analytics uses no cookies at all.

Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie called __cf_bm to protect the site from bots. This cookie contains no personal information and expires within 30 minutes of your visit.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Enquiry data is kept for as long as is needed to process your enquiry, plus a reasonable period afterwards in case any questions arise.

If you've opted in to marketing communications, we'll keep your contact details until you unsubscribe. To unsubscribe, just email [email protected].

7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • - Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • - Ask us to correct any inaccurate data
  • - Ask us to delete your data
  • - Ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • - Request a portable copy of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll respond within one month.

8. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We'd always rather hear from you directly first - email us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to sort things out.

If we make any changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. We won't make any changes that reduce your rights without letting you know.
